Conference Talk — eVTOL Aircraft Energy Overhead Estimation under Conflict Resolution in High-Density Airspaces
↳ 26th Integrated Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (ICNS) Conference · Herndon, Virginia, USA
Presented our analysis of eVTOL energy overhead under MVP-based tactical conflict resolution in high-density airspace, including an ML model for reserve-energy estimation.
// about this talk
I presented our work at the 26th Integrated Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (ICNS) Conference, held April 14–16, 2026 at the Westin Washington Dulles Airport in Herndon, Virginia.
The talk covered our study of eVTOL energy overhead under tactical conflict resolution in high-density airspace: using a physics-based power model within a traffic simulation, we quantified the energy cost of Modified Voltage Potential (MVP) deconfliction and developed a machine-learning model that estimates reserve-energy needs at mission initiation.
